Ideal for potentially explosive and hazardous environments, the new Rice Lake 882IS intrinsically safe digital weight indicator has FM, IECEx, and ATEX approvals.
A stainless steel IP66 enclosure protects this indicator in a variety of applications, including fuel refineries, chemical plants, distilleries, and textile manufacturing.
The 882IS has an optional safe area I/O module for remote communication with peripheral devices such as printers and computers. An auto-ranging power supply allows for a single AC power line to the 882IS, while a rechargeable battery powers four 350-ohm load cells for up to 60 hours. The 882IS also has a backlit LCD screen, clearly displaying weight in any light.
