NDC Infrared Engineering, a global supplier of on-line measurement and control systems, has announced the appointment of Dr. Danut Dragoi as senior scientist.

Dr. Dragoi will help lead the effort in the area of sensors with a focus on new technologies for improving precision and accuracy. His expertise in physics, material science, and characterization will play a key role in meeting today’s application challenges and maintaining NDC’s leadership position.

“Danut is a valuable addition to our team and brings a unique understanding of material science and sensor technology,” said Ahmad Shishegar, systems development manager. “His in-depth knowledge of both metrology and material science will help keep NDC measurement technology at the forefront.”

Prior to joining NDC, Dr. Dragoi was a professor at California Institute of Technology teaching Material Science. He was also a Post Doctoral Fellow at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena working on the Life on Mars project. Dr. Dragoi earned a PhD in Material Science.
