Mettler Toledo Launches Tank Calibration Technology

Replacing time-consuming and cumbersome test weight, flow meter, or material substitution methods, Mettler Toledo's RapidCal tank scale calibration applies downward force with hydraulic equipment that mimics normal tank scale loading.

Performing the calibration and/or adjustment in this manner accounts for piping and structural influences and offers greater visibility to true system performance when compared to other methods.

The new method can increase calibration efficiency by up to 80% when compared to traditional methods. It also eliminates the need to purify water or use precious inventory materials to perform the calibration, and no waste is generated as a result. Tank contents remain unaffected by implementation of RapidCal, meaning there is no contamination risk or cleaning downtime.

The RapidCal ISO17025 certified reference system promises 0.1% accuracy, allows for error of indication and repeatability tests to be performed, and contains measurement uncertainty that ensures audit readiness and enables compliance in accordance with quality systems.
