K-TEK Announces Integration of ASI Instruments, Formation of K-TEK Solids Level and K-TEK Liquid Level Groups

K-TEK, a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art instrumentation for level measurement, has announced the integration of ASI Instruments and its line of dry bulk solids level detection and measurement instruments into K-TEK Corporation. ASI Instruments will become the K-TEK Solids Level group
(http://www.kteksolidslevel.com) and focus on dry bulk solids level detection and measurement devices. K-TEK's traditional liquid level products will be part of the K-TEK Liquid Level group (http://www.ktekcorp.com). The expanded range of products will allow K-TEK to serve as a one-stop shop for a wide range of liquid and solids level measurement applications.

K-TEK Solids Level offers a complete range of state-of-the art, dry
level measurement products, including rotary paddle switches, vibrating fork switches, plumb bobs, RF capacitance switches and transmitters, ultrasonic transmitters, laser transmitters and scanners, and guided-wave radar devices. These dry bulk solids level products can be found in such applications as grain processing and milling, plastics manufacturing, aggregates, building materials, and food production.

K-TEK Liquid Level provides a complete line of rugged, high performance liquid level measurement devices, including magnetic level gauges; magnetostrictive, guided-wave radar, ultrasonic, and laser transmitters; as well as a full line of point level switches and field controllers. The liquid level products are in wide use in chemical processing, oil and gas production, power generation, pulp and paper processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

"Combining K-TEK's expertise in liquid level measurement with ASI's focus on dry bulk solids provides the industry with the broadest range of innovative level measurement solutions," said Rao Sanampudi, CEO, K-TEK. "Regardless of the product density, pressure, temperature, or angle of repose, these sophisticated level instruments provide reliable measurements with pinpoint accuracy up to 0.05 in. Which means K-TEK can provide exactly the right measurement device for a particular level application. This is accomplished by offering the industry's broadest range of liquid and solids level instruments that include point level, continuous, and volume measurement capabilities."
