Intersystems and EMW Form Parts and Service Agreement

Intersystems and EMW Industrial Limited (EMW) have announced a cooperative agreement between the two companies. Effective February 28, 2011, EMW has been appointed the sole stocking distributor of Intersystems parts, service, and technical support for sampling equipment in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Thunder Bay region of Ontario Canada.

EMW offers millwright and construction services including design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of equipment for agri-business and industrial clients. A dedication to quality control and high safety standards has led the company into several industries and areas throughout Canada. Both EMW and Intersystems have a corporate environment that puts immense emphasis on safety, quality, environmental responsibility, and long-term relationships - EMW with 35 years of experience and Intersystems with 50 - making the partnership a clear fit.

Intersystems designs and manufactures industrial sampling equipment which includes a variety of automatic samplers and truck probes. Automatic sampler applications include belt end, gravity chute, sloped gravity chute, liquid, mid-belt, pit, and pneumatic line. Probes are available in multiple truck and rail sizes. Intersystems sampling systems take representative and repeatable samples of a variety of materials for use in multiple industries.

EMW has Factory Certified staff that is fully versed on each of these products through a training program conducted by Intersystems. Ewen Morrison, chief executive officer at EMW, said, “We are excited about our partnership with Intersystems and the opportunity to provide our services. Our local presence will allow Intersystems customers to conduct business in a timely manner.”

This agreement increases Intersystems’ ability to serve its customers in Canada. Tom Schroeder, president and chief operating officer at Intersystems, stated, “This area has been an important market for Intersystems, specifically in the sale of automatic samplers and truck probes. EMW has an excellent understanding of these products and a familiarity with Intersystems. The immediate availability of service parts for this equipment in Canada will help us provide superior service to our customers in the region.”
