Restricted Access Barrier Systems
RABS utilize rigid walls that provide a physical barrier between operators and the manufacturing process.

The International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) defines RABS as “a type of barrier system for aseptic processing of pharmaceutical products that reduces or eliminates interventions into the critical zone.”

RABS utilize rigid walls that provide a physical barrier between operators and the manufacturing process to prevent migration or segregation of product or to reduce operator exposure. Introduction or removal of materials is done through glove ports or doors depending on the level of containment required.

RABS designed and built by Custom Powder Systems provide the required level of contamination control. Engineers listen to client challenges and custom design RABS to solve their specific issues.
