As a manufacturer of custom mixing, blending, and coating technology since 1960, we have seen a tremendous change in the powder and bulk solids industry.

In the early 80s, customers would stop at our booth at the Powder Show, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, asking about price and comparing numbers from booth to booth. The buying culture was completely different.

We have watched that trend change to a new buyer who is looking for quality, innovative technology first and wanting to purchase something built specifically for his or her application. The industry’s presidents, engineers, and scientists are also now well informed before walking into the show, looking for reliable and robust equipment that will last for years to come.

In 2002, the show became the International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference & Exhibition, signaling the industry’s shift to a more universal appeal. It is difficult to speculate on the next 40 years because the industry has and will continue to become more international. With that shift comes so many variables. However, we often hear from our customers that they love the fact that we are a family-owned, American-made company. The trend to buy American-made technology will continue to be one constant in the future, which makes exhibiting and attending the 2016 Powder Show such a great opportunity.
