Massive Explosion, Fire Shuts Down Fertilizer Plant

The Fauji Fertilizer Company Ltd (FFC) shut down a production plant in Mirpur Mathelo, in the Ghotki district in Sindh, Pakistan, after it was engulfed in flames following a massive explosion July 3.
The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
The fire occurred in the gas vessel of the ammonia unit. An investigation was underway.
