Heavy thunderstorms are being blames for a massive explosion and fire at a chemical storage site in Cannock, UK Monday night.

The site at the Cannock Industrial Centre was engulfed in flames just before 6:30 a.m. A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesman confirmed a "large amount of chemicals" were involved in the fire.

Homes were evacuated as multiple fire crews worked to conterol the blaze.

An investigation was underway.
