Firefighters were called to a commercial facility in Bargersville, IN on Wednesday night after a fire ignited in a piece of grain drying equipment inside the plant, the Bargersville Fire Department said in a social media post.

Responding to the site at 8:53 p.m., crews from Bargersville Fire and White River Township Fire used two ladder trucks to douse flames in the upper levels of the dryer, the fire department said in a post on its Facebook page.

The dryer was holding shelled corn when the blaze started. Fire personnel were able to douse the flames within 45 minutes.

“No damage estimates were available,” Bargersville Fire said. “The facility should be able to return to full service within a couple days.”
