An investigation has been opened into the cause of small blaze that broke out at the Grippo Potato Chip Company plant in Colerain Township, OH on Thursday morning, local news organizations reported.

An automatic sprinkler system activated in the facility at about 4 a.m., prompting a response from firefighters, coverage by a Cincinnati-based Fox News affiliate said. Crews observed smoke coming from the building as they arrived on scene.

“There was a fire early this morning at our plant on Colerain Avenue. Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished (a HUGE thank you to Colerain Fire and Colerain Police!!!) and the damage was minimal,” the company said in a post on its Facebook page. “Don’t worry, we will soon be producing your favorite chip again.”

Grippo Potato Chip said its mail order department and walk-in customer sales at the facility are suspended following the fire. No injuries were logged during the incident.

Officials told NBC News affiliate WLWT that production areas in the facility were seemingly unimpacted by the blaze.
