Smoke and flames were seen coming out of the building on the evening of Tuesday, March 28.

Grant County and Moses Lake firefighters in Washington State worked for hours on the night of Tuesday, March 28  to contain a big fire at Basic American Foods in Moses Lake, a food processing plant

According to local news KREM 2, the fire was reported at approximately 8 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO). Fire District 5 responded to the fire.

The plant was in operation and workers were inside when the fire started. All employees were evacuated and no injuries have been reported, according to Grant County Fire.

GCSO said the fire was in the upper stories of the facility and that the third floor sustained the most damage.
