Crews from several area fire departments worked to extinguish a fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon at the American Zinc Recycling plant in Palmerton, PA, the Leighton Times-News reported.

A large belt, which could have come from a conveyor system, was involved in the fire, the newspaper’s coverage said. Smoke from the facility was observed across Palmerton.

No injuries were logged during the incident, according to the Times-News
