Officials said a fire caused a saw dust silo to explode Saturday at a cabinet production facility in Los Angeles County.

A fire led to a dust explosion in a silo at a cabinet production facility in in Irwindale, CA on Saturday, officials said.

“An early morning fire at a cabinet manufacturing plant led to an explosion in a saw dust silo,” Irwindale Police Department tweeted. “Officers responded with @LACoFD [Los Angeles County Fire Department] to the blaze in the 4000 block of Azusa Canyon Road at around 5:50 a.m. Luckily no one was injured and the cause remains under investigation.”

Crews managed to extinguish the flames by 6:43 a.m., a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher told MyNewsLA.com.  

No information was available on the owner and operator of the facility.
