A fire broke out at the LDI Industries fabrication and assembly plant in Huntley, IL last week that forced workers to evacuate.

Crews were dispatched to the LDI Industries fabrication and assembly plant in Huntley, IL last Tuesday after a blaze ingnited in a dust collection system, several local news organizations reported.

Called to the Jim Dhamer Drive facility around 9:20 p.m. for a report of smoke in the building, firefighters found a collector involved in flames upon arrival, according to the Arlington Heights Daily Herald. Fire personnel ventilated the building.

Workers evacuated the plant without injury, an account by the Lake McHenry Scanner said. Several area fire departments were also sent to the incident to provide backup.

LDI Industries is a manufacturer of hydraulic components and lubricating equipment, information on its website states. The firm also operates a precision machining and assembly plant in Manitowoc, WI.
