A failure in a dust collection system ignited a fire at the Zimmer Biomet medical device facility in Warsaw, IN in the early hours of Friday morning, according to a report by InkFreePress.com.

Crews from several fire departments were called to the site around 1 a.m. and were able to contain the flames by 2:40 a.m., coverage by the local news organization said. Firefighters disassembled pipes connected to the dust collector and put them back together during the incident.

A fire official told InkFreePress.com that an equipment failure caused the blaze.

Zimmer Biomet is a supplier of musculoskeletal healthcare solutions. The firm’s corporate headquarters is also located in Warsaw.
