Firefighters worked for an hour on Friday morning to extinguish a dust collector fire at a Beaver Dam WI facility, the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen reported.

Members of the Beaver Dam Fire Department were called to the Mayville Engineering Corporation (MEC) site at about 10:40 a.m., finding smoke in an overhead dock door in the building, the newspaper’s coverage said.

The fire started as workers were performing maintenance on the dust collection system. Firefighters were called after workers failed to put out the flames with fire extinguishers.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and only the dust collection equipment received damages, the Daily Citizen said.
