Emergency personnel were called to a grain elevator in Roanoke, IN on Monday morning after a piece of drying equipment caught on fire, several local news organizations reported.
Crews made their way to the scene on E. Station Road at about 7:30 a.m., discovering the grain dryer ablaze next to a storage bin holding corn, coverage by television news station WANE said. The drying equipment was destroyed in the fire, but the grain bin was not damaged during the incident.
After extinguishing the fire, first responders remained on scene until about 9:30 a.m. to monitor for flares, ABC News affiliate WPTA said in a report.
No injuries were logged during the incident.
