Firefighters from three area fire departments responded to a blaze Thursday evening at the Georgia-Pacific particle board production plant in Diboll, TX, local news organizations reported.

The fire started in a piece of hydraulic particle board press equipment inside the facility at about 8 p.m., the company told ABC News affiliate KTRE.

“We had approximately 50 people working,” Georgia-Pacific spokesperson Yana Olgetree said in an interview with the Lufkin Daily News. “At the first sign of fire the whole facility evacuated immediately.”

The machine involved in the fire presses sawdust with adhesives and other materials, Olgetree said in the newspaper.

Officials are working to determine the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported during the incident.
