Airdusco Engineering Hires Sr. Combustible Dust Consultant

Jason Reason, MBA, CIH, CSP, CHMM has joined Airdusco Engineering & Design Services as a Senior Combustible Dust Consultant. Jason is a widely recognized expert in safety and health, with a special emphasis on combustible dust and industrial hygiene. He is active in several industry recognized associations including the American Society of Safety Professional (ASSP) and is a member of five NFPA Technical Committees including Chair of the NFPA 664 Committee (Wood and Cellulosic Materials Processing). While serving on these committees, Jason has written several new requirements to address serious hazards, including developing the new requirements for NFPA 652 (DHAs) and NFPA 484 (Additive Manufacturing). 

Jason has spent the last seven years as a combustible dust consultant and prior to that worked for Indiana OSHA (IOSHA) as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer. Jason’s OSHA experience includes hundreds of inspections in most industries, as well as training and advising Federal and State OSHA Compliance Officers across the United States. Jason is a national speaker at most safety, health and industry-specific conferences including, but not limited to, ASSP, NFPA, NSC, and Powder and Bulk Solids.

As a consultant, Jason has continued to assess and mitigate potential combustible dust, safety, and health hazards. Specifically, Jason has performed hundreds of Dust Hazards Analyses (DHAs) for leading corporations across the US and will continue to perform that role with Airdusco Engineering & Design Services. Jason has also worked with several building/fire code officials to ensure the facilities were safely designed.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Industrial Hygiene from Purdue University and a Master of Business (MBA) Degree from the University of Indianapolis. Jason currently holds the following certifications: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
