A ventilation system exploded on June 11 at the Troxel Company manufacturing plant in Moscow, TN, leaving three workers with severe burn injuries, an emergency management official told several local news outlets. 

First responders were called to the facility after the blast occurred at about 2:20 p.m., Fayette County Emergency Management Agency Director Hunter Winfrey said in a report by NBC News Affiliate WMC. 

Two of the workers were transported to a hospital in Memphis via helicopter and the other injured staff member was taken to an area hospital by ambulance, Winfrey said in the television news station’s coverage.

The injured workers were all employees of the company, an account by Fox13 Memphis said. An investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing. 

Troxel is a manufacturer of welded steel tubing and fabricated components, according to the firm’s website. The company was founded in 1898.
