A fire Monday morning at a Bremen, IN composites plant left two workers with injuries, several local news organizations reported.

Firefighters responded to the Bremen Composites facility on Industrial Drive after the fire started at about 5 a.m. Crews from several area fire departments reported to the scene.

The company told the South Bend Tribune that one person was hurt when the fire broke out and another received injuries while evacuating the plant. Although administrative office areas were left undamaged by the flames, production will be resumed at the Bremen facility in one or two days

An investigation into the cause of the blaze has been opened by the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office, South Bend, IN-based ABC News affiliate WBND reported. Officials told the broadcaster that the structure received a substantial amount of damage during the incident.

Bremen Composites is a producer of composite products for the automotive industry, including running boards and front spoilers. Its website bills the company as the “one of the oldest FRP manufacturers in existence.”
