Orbital Loss-in-Weight Blending System

The Orbital LIW system is a group of specially designed loss-in-weight screw feeders for metering and blending materials by weight. The gravimetric blending process can be batch or continuous, and can be configured in an individual, circular, or linear layout. The Orbital LIW system is provided with the Genetix single board controller that supports all common industrial network communications such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and DeviceNet. The feeder is designed with rapid changeover components allowing fast, easy changes for cleaning and material types. Rapid changeover components include motors, drives, agitation, hoppers, scales, spouts, and augers. The feeders are constructed of stainless steel and are available in sanitary versions for food and similar designs for the chemical and plastics industries. The Orbital LIW feeder is designed to handle hard-to-feed materials, such as fine or cohesive powders. Special agitation, hopper design, and helices are available to reliably meter extraordinarily hard-to-feed materials.
