Loss-in-Weight Feeder

This loss-in-weight feeder is designed to meter 60 lb/min of chemical additive, 100 tn/hr production stream. In order to maintain that feed rate 24 hours a day, the bulk bag is discharged into a 53-cu-ft vessel that, in turn, refills the LIW feeder hopper at approximately 20-minute intervals. The dispenser is equipped with a 2-tn high-duty cycle hoist and powered trolley. Multiple dust control points are inducted to an integral dust collector, and collected dust is returned to the hopper. The feed rate follows the plant production rate, with a turndown ratio up to 20 to 1, and a minute to minute accuracy of 1% or better.
