American snacks manufacturer Utz Brands announced Tuesday that Shannan Redcay was named executive vice president, manufacturing. In the new role, Redcay will help to further the transformation of Utz’s manufacturing footprint, including increasing capacity and improving efficiency.

The executive joined Utz in April 2015. She will continue to integrate Utz’s manufacturing organization into the firm’s Integrated Business Management (IBM) program and also oversee quality assurance, engineering, productivity, and innovation. Redcay will report to chief operating officer Cary Devore.

Utz also announced that Chad Whyte was appointed as executive vice president, supply chain. He most recently served as senior vice president, supply chain planning and logistics for Utz. He will oversee logistics, procurement, and the company’s IBM program.

“Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have added over five million new consumers to our portfolio of brands across virtually all geographies and product sub-categories, while at the same time accelerating repeat purchase rates,” Devore said in a release. “Today’s announcement reflects our heightened focus on enhancing our manufacturing and supply chain organizations while improving our processes and throughput.”

The new executive leaders will support the company’s organic growth and long-term margin expansion opportunities.
