North American private-label and contract pet food and treats manufacturer Simmons Pet Food recently appointed former Kellogg Co. Chief Customer Officer Scott Salmon as its president. 

“Scott brings a strong track record of building and transforming businesses to respond to shifting consumer habits and market disruption,” Simmons Foods COO David Jackson said in a company press release. “His leadership and strategic focus on talent, customer and channel development paired with Simmons’ robust operational capacity and innovative capabilities will be a powerful combination.”

Salmon worked for Kellogg Co. for 22 years, where he was in charge of its biggest U.S. sales team. He has also served as a regional board member of the American Heart Association and as a board member of the California Grocers Association Educational Foundation. 

He graduated from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO.
