Post Holdings-owned private brand food products manufacturer 8th Avenue Food & Provisions Inc. announced Monday that it agreed to deal to purchase the Ronzoni dry pasta brand from Riviana Foods.

“We are looking forward to welcoming the Ronzoni brand to our team, a pioneer and leader in the pasta category. With its on-trend, versatile product offering, state-of-the-art facility, and impressive customer base, Ronzoni has a strong foundation from which to build on its leading market presence,” said Scott McNair, 8thAvenue’s chief executive officer, in a Post release. “Together with the Ronzoni team, we look forward to driving further growth and scale by delivering innovative products to all our loyal customers.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Post Holdings expects the dal to close in the second calendar quarter of 2021.

Riviana Foods entered into a definitive agreement to sell most of its US branded pasta portfolio, including the Prince, Creamette, and American Beauty brands, to TreeHouse Foods Inc. in November 2020. The company said at the time that it planned to retain the Ronzoni brand.
