Powder & Bulk Solids is introducing a new podcast series this month, Particulate Matters, for professionals working in the dry particulate and bulk solids processing and handling industry.

From technology to innovations, our episodes will feature a wide range of perspectives on working with powders and bulk solid materials, making operations safe and efficient, trends, and more.

For the first episode of Particulate Matters, Powder & Bulk Solids managing editor John S. Forrester speaks with Anastacia Marx de Salcedo, author of “Combat Ready Kitchen: How the US Military Shapes the Way You Eat,” about the invention of dehydrated cheese powder during World War II. Learn why the US military turned to dehydration out of necessity during the war and how a government scientist used the technology to create the tasty orange powder we know and love today.
