Pork supplier Country View Family Farms LLC is preparing to launch a $43.7 million project to construct a new feed mill in New Columbia, PA to support its hog production operations, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf announced in a recent release.

“We anticipate that the creation of this state-of-the-art operation will facilitate and support the growth of numerous family farms and rural businesses by offering an exciting new market for agriculture commodities produced by local farmers,” Eric Patton of Clemens Family Corp. said in a statement. “We look forward to working with the commonwealth and local officials to bring this vision to fruition.”

Covering more than 100 acres, the site is served by rail. The company plans to create 51 new positions when the facility opens.

Country View Family Farms is a subsidiary of Clemens Family Corp.
