A pulse and grain handling and processing facility operated by Pardue Grain Inc. in Montana will soon head to the auction block. Industrial properties marketer Maas Companies will conduct a combination sealed bin and online auction for the Cut Bank, MT site this September, the company said in a recent release.

“The current owners are willing to facilitate a smooth transition with a new owner after being involved with the site since its beginning in 1959,” Tyler Maas of Maas Companies said in a statement. “Bidders are fortunate to have the ability to purchase the property in tracts or as an entirety. The property is in pristine operating condition.”

Pardue Grain recently completed an $8.25 million expansion project at the Cut Bank facility, adding a food grade pulse processing plant and warehouse, larger grain handling bins, new conveying equipment, as well as a new scale house and main office buildings. The site includes a private 10-car rail spur off of BNSF’s main line.

Sealed bids for the property and related equipment must be submitted by 5 pm MDT on Sept. 15, 2020. A timed online auction for ancillary support equipment will start on Sept. 16, 2020 at 5 pm MDT.

The Cut Bank site currently has 420,000 bu of flat storage, 27,000 bu of hopper storage, and 310,000 bu of steel bin storage, according to the company’s website. Throughout most of its existence, Pardue Grain has operated the site primarily as a storage location. The pulse processing plant was commissioned at the site in early 2019.
