Mondelez Marks 130 Years of Operations at Ohio Flour Mill

American food firm Mondelez International held an event on October 8 to celebrate 130 years of operations at its flour mill in Toledo, OH that was attended by local and state officials, employees, and members of the community.
The Ohio facility is the biggest soft-wheat mill in North America and features a grain storage capacity of 5.5 million bu of wheat. Production started at the mill in 1892 and the facility was acquired by The National Biscuit Co. (Nabisco) in 1926.
Mondelez’s mill processes about 1,000 acres of wheat each day into over 1,500 tn of flour. The plant currently has a headcount of 100 full-time workers.
