Travis Leonard to be added to the leadership team

Travis Leonard will join Hostess Brands Inc. as chief financial officer on May 11, 2022.

Leonard will oversee all financial matters as the company works to implement and deliver its long-term growth plan. He succeeds interim CFO Mike Gernigin, who has been acting in this role since November 2021 and who will remain with the company as chief accounting officer. Gernigin will report to Leonard.

Leonard joins Hostess Brands with more than 25 years of global financial executive experience. Prior to joining Hostess Brands, he served as senior vice president and CFO of the medical segment at Cardinal Health, where he led a global finance organization supporting a $16.7 billion revenue medical products, distribution, and services business. He joined Cardinal Health in 2018 as corporate treasurer. Prior to this, he served in finance and corporate audit roles at Cargill. He spent almost 14 years Earlier in his career in various finance roles across multiple businesses at Kraft Foods.

Leonard earned his BS in finance and graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
