Foodservice industry supplier Golden State Foods (GSF) announced several leadership appointments on Monday, as well as some changes to the organization of its global food and logistics operations. The company said the developments are intended to align the company with its business strategy.

“As GSF continually strives to meet and exceed our customers’ global businesses and leadout in the food industry, we continue to assess our talent and evolve our organizational structure,” Mark Wetterau, the firm’s chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “As such, we’re pleased to announce several strategic changes to our operations and executive teams, who will lead the way in global manufacturing, logistics, sustainability, innovation and culture.”

The changes announced by the company include: 

- Brian Dick, corporate senior vice president and president, global liquid products, was named corporate senior vice president and president, global manufacturing. He will lead strategy and oversight of all global liquid products, dairy, protein, and produce operations.
- Dr. Wayne Morgan, corporate vice president and president, protein group, was appointed corporate vice president and president, protein and sustainability, where he will continue to oversee the firm’s protein processing operations and applying his knowledge on sustainability to its operations.
- Bob Wolpert, corporate senior vice president and president, logistics will move into the role of corporate senior vice president and chief strategy and innovation, partnering will all company leaders to help champion thought leadership, innovation, and strategic planning. He will continue to lead the firm’s work with IBM on Blockchain, IoT, and digital innovations, while helping to guide company strategy overall.
- Ryan Hammer, corporate vice president and president, logistics group, will take on additional duties, including leadership of all logistics for GSF, including Quality Custom Distribution, Central Freight Management, Centralized Leasing Corp., and strategic logistics initiatives.
- Ed Rodriguez, corporate vice president and chief human resources officer, was appointed corporate senior vice president and chief human resources officer. He will continue to oversee the company’s associate structure, development, and succession planning to align with, and effectively support, company and customer strategies and perpetuate GSF’s culture.

Golden State Foods said it will continue to utilize the expertise and talent of its executive and management teams to further its business stategy.
