Food Manufacturer Crepini to Open Plant in NY State
January 29, 2019
Bread and wrap alternatives manufacturer Crepini plans to shift its manufacturing operations from the Brooklyn Meat Market in New York City to a new, 33,000-sq-ft custom built facility in East Fishkill, NY this summer, the company announced in a press release this week.
The new site at the food hub iPark 84 is expected to increase the firm’s capacity by some 500%. Crepini’s plant will contain more production space and state-of-the-art machinery, as well as designated areas for production of gluten-free and allergen-free products.
“Through our family’s hard work and growth, we are now able to create more than 108 new jobs for other hard-working New Yorkers in the Hudson Valley and continue to work towards our goal of having Crepini products on every table in America,” Paula Rimer, chief executive officer and a co-founder of Crepini, said in a statement.
Empire State Development awarded Crepini $2.5 million in Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits. The company also received a $126,000 Business Attraction grant.
Crepini plans to start the move this coming May.
