A former Dean Foods executive will join Flowers Foods as its chief supply chain officer this month.

Packaged bakery foods firm Flowers Foods announced this week that a former Dean Foods executive will join the company this month as its chief supply chain officer.

Brad Cashaw, who most recently served as executive vice president and chief supply chain officer at Dean Foods, will take on the new role at Flowers Foods on September 8. In the psotion Cashaw will manage the firm’s supply chain operations and report to chief executive officer Brad Alexander.

“Brad brings to Flowers his extensive operations and supply chain experience leading numerous teams and functions for world-class organizations,” Alexander said in a release. “His leadership, solid understanding of all aspects of business, and proven ability to deliver end-to-end results will be a tremendous asset as we continue the supply chain optimization work already begun under Project Centennial.”

In his recent role at Dean Foods, Cashaw was in charge of manufacturing, logistics, procurement, R&D, safety, quality, engineering, planning, fleet, network optimization, sustainability, and operational excellence. Earlier in his career, he served as vice president, integrated supply chain for the Cheese & Dairy division of Kraft Foods Group and as senior vice president, Snack Supply Chain at the Kellogg Company. Cashaw started his career at PepsiCo.

Based in Thomasville, GA, Flowers Foods produces Nature’s Own, Dave’s Killer Bread, Wonder, and Tastykake brands.
