Firefighters were called to the Grow Smart feed mill in Willow Springs, MO on October 8 after a blaze started in the leg of a pellet mill, according to a report by Howell County News.

A drive belt on a mechanical elevator caught on fire inside of the leg after it jammed and its gears continued to rotate, Willow Springs Fire Department Assistant Chief Vance Farmer told the local news organization.

Flames were isolated to the pellet mill and crews managed to douse the flames within 10 minutes. A company official told the News that operations at the facility were not interrupted.
