Crews from several area fire departments were called to the Riviana Foods rice mill in Carlisle, AR after a fire ignited at the site Monday afternoon, local news organizations reported.

Fire officials told television news station KARK that sprinklers activated during the incident, but emergency personnel requested for the systems to be turned off due to the presence of large volume of water inside the facility.

The effort to douse the flames extended over several hours, according to coverage by ABC News affiliate KATV.

A company spokesperson said in KARK’s report that structural repairs will be needed after the incident. No injuries were logged.

The cause of the fire has not been established.
