Animal nutrition firm Poulin Grain said its Newport, VT facility returned to normal operations the following day.

Crews were sent to the Poulin Grain feed plant in Newport, VT Wednesday night after a blaze ignited at the facility.

“Our Newport, VT facility experienced a small equipment fire last night. We’re grateful to our employees and fire department for a quick response, no injuries, and very minimal damage,” Poulin Grain said in a statement posted to its Facebook page. “We are operating as normal today.”

The fire was doused by Thursday morning, television news station WCAX reported. No information was available on the cause of the incident.

Poulin Grain is a supplier of animal feed products and provides services, including on-farm nutritional consulting and feed analysis.
