Water, hygiene, and energy technologies provider Ecolab completed the sale of its UK-based hygiene and cleaning products and services business Holchem Group Limited to biosecurity and food safety firm Kersia Group, a May 28 company press release announced.

The divestiture comes after the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) ruled against Ecolab’s December 2018 purchase of Holchem. While the transaction was being reviewed by regulators, the businesses operated separately.

CMA officials recently approved the sale of Holchem to Kersia. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Holchem generated $57 million in sales during 2018.
