A dust explosion occurred as firefighters were working to put out a sawdust fire in an 80-ft silo Monday morning at the Crossville Hardwoods flooring manufacturing plant in Crossville, TN, local news organizations reported.

Called to the facility at about 6:15 a.m. after dust ignited in the container, crews were working to douse the flames when a spark near the bottom of the vessel caused the material to explode, officials told NBC News affiliate WBIR. Some dry dust caught on fire after the blast.

The top of the silo was blown off by the force of the explosion, Crossville Fire Chief Chris South said in an interview with ABC News station WATE. The silo was about half full of dust when the blast happened.

No injuries were logged during the incident.
