Feed products supplier De Heus Animal Nutrition started construction this month on a new compound animal feed plant in an industrial zone of Attinguié, Côte d’Ivoire. A company release announcing the project said the facility will open with an intial capacity of 100,000 mt/yr.

The new facility will manufacture complete feed and expand its portfolio of Koudijis brand concentrates and specialty feeds. Products made at the site will be sold to Ivory Coast farmers and in certain export markets.

De Heus is designing the facility to include high quality and safety standards.

The company recently held an event to break ground on the new site attended by local and company officials. Production is expected to start at the new plant in the second half of 2022.
