Agri-food industry supplier Darling Ingredients Inc. has promoted Sandra Dudley to Executive Vice President, Renewables and US Specialty Operations, a company release said Wednesday.

The role becomes effective immediately. In the position, Dudley will oversee the firm’s renewable fuel strategy and lead its specialty operations in the US, including production of nutrients used in the pet food, fertilizers, baked goods, and refining industries. She will also work to foster growth of the company’s restaurant services business and integrate Darling into the firm’s new renewable diesel joint venture, Diamond Green Diesel (DGD).

“Sandy’s extensive knowledge of the renewable fuels industry and low-carbon feedstock supply gives her a unique and valuable perspective that has advanced Darling as a leader in sustainable ingredients,” Randall C. Stuewe, chairman and CEO of Darling Ingredients, said in a statement. “Her contributions have benefitted Darling’s business around the world, and we look forward to her business acumen continuing to drive results in this new leadership position.”

Dudley previously was Senior Vice President of Renewables and Strategy for Darling Ingredients, helping DGD to increase production of renewable diesel. Before joining the company in 2015, she served in various roles at ConAgra Foods and Tenaska Marketing Ventures.
