Farm supply and grain marketing cooperative Crystal Valley announced a new project this week that will expand and upgrade milling capacity at its feed mill in Vernon Center, MN.

Slated to begin this June, this effort will boost the site’s milling capacity by 75,000 tn/yr, according to the company. Crystal Valley plans to install ingredient bins, a triple stack roller mill, an additional set of loadout bins. The cooperative will also upgrade an existing receiving bay.

When the project reaches completion in November, the Vernon Center feed mill’s capacity will reach more than 220,000 tn/yr.

Crystal Valley opened the feed mill in 2006. Several capacity upgrade projects have been carried out at the facility over the last 14 years.
