The beer and beverage company is putting $16M into its Los Angeles facility and $8 million into its flagship St. Louis plant.

AB InBev’s Anheuser-Busch is investing in two of its major US facilities. The brewer and manufacturer of Michelob ULTRA, Busch Light, Budweiser, and Bud Light, announced last month a new $16 million investment in its Los Angeles brewery. As well, this week it announced $8 toward its St. Louis plant, where the company calls home.
The Los Angeles brewery has been a cornerstone of Anheuser-Busch's operations since 1954. Today, there are more than 3,400 employees across 14 facilities in California.
The LA expansion will include:
Expansion of packaging capabilities for the company's "beyond beer" brands like Cutwater and NUTRL, including variety packaging
Increased production capacity for 25-oz cans to meet increasing consumer demand
Facility upgrades to enhance water conservation and reduce boiler emissions
"Investing in the communities where our people live and work is part of who we are," said Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch. "At Anheuser-Busch, we've been producing high quality, great tasting products for generations, and through continued investments in our facilities like our Los Angeles brewery, we're not only improving our capabilities but also contributing to the prosperity of the communities we serve."
Anheuser-Busch said it is dedicated to investing in its facilities to help create and sustain jobs and fuel economic growth in St. Louis and beyond. The St. Louis brewery will see its $8 million go toward creating and sustaining jobs and driving economic growth in its hometown.
Over the past 5 years, Anheuser-Busch has invested nearly $2 billion in its facilities across the country.
The brewer operates more than 120 facilities across the country and, with its distributors, employs 65,000 people.
