13,000 lb of ammonia vapor leaked at a Tyson Foods plant in West Chester Township, OH last Saturday, prompting a response from seven area fire departments, according to coverage by local news broadcaster WLWT.

West Chester Township’s fire chief told the station that firefighters located a valve that broke or became loose and were able to halt the leak. The official said the vapor was contained to the facility and did not pose a risk to the surrounding area.

Tyson stated to WLWT that it is investigating the incident. The plant was evacuated without injury.
