A HAZMAT team and other first responders were dispatched to the Tyson Foods wastewater treatment facility in New Holland, PA last Sunday after sulfuric acid hurt two workers at the site, according to a report by local news station WGAL.

Crews responded to the South Custer Avenue facility at about 1 p.m. and learned that the acid had splattered on the workers.

A statement sent to the broadcaster by Tyson Foods said the company is investigating the incident and the two people received “minor injuries.”

“We’re grateful to the swift response and assistance from local first responders,” the companys said to WGAL.
