Reliable Feeding Technical Workshop Offered
Alan Roberts.jpg

The reliable operation of conveying systems is often compromised by operational problems surrounding the reliable feeding of bulk solids into the conveying system. Led by Alan Roberts, emeritus professor, founding director, Tunra Bulk Solids, University of Newcastle, Essentials for the Reliable Feeding of Bulk Solids will focus on the key factors that ensure successful metering and feeding.

· Interfacing feeders for reliable operation
· Importance of the feeding interface to maintain mass flow in bins
· Feeder and bin interfacing to minimize segregation, de-mixing and wear

Roberts has been involved in bulk solids handling for 50 years, and has been published widely in this field.

The workshop will take place Thursday, May 8, from 1:30-3:30, at the International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference & Exhibition in Rosemont, IL.
