Batch Feeding System Ensures High Capacity in Pendulum Bucket Elevators
Simatek drum feeder ensures reliability and increased capacity.

The patented drum feeder from Simatek Bulk Systems A/S improves capacity, reduces wear on moving parts, and limits the risk of malfunction.

The Simatek drum feeder is designed for easy-flowing bulk products such as granulates, pellets, and most types of powders and is based on a new design in which each bucket is suspended individually.

For complex powder products with poor flow properties a forced feeding system may be added to the drum feeder.

EU and U.S. patented, the drum feeder provides several advantages over traditional designs.

“As the buckets are not overlapping or touching, the risk of malfunction is much lower than in other systems,” said Christian Andersen, CEO, Simatek Bulk Systems. The design also results in significant cost savings on the wearing parts.”

The use of guides in the elevator is reduced to an absolute minimum. This eliminates friction, reduces wear and the need for service. Another advantage is that the power consumption is lower.

The filling mechanism allows for each individual bucket to be filled up to 90 percent, compared to around 60 percent for traditional systems. This means an increase of capacity of up to 50% at the same chain speed. Besides these features all Simatek pendulum bucket elevators include automatic chain tension systems and electronic overload protection.

The pendulum bucket elevator is built in a modular, customized system that is ideal for products needing gentle and flexible handling.

Simatek Bulk Systems will be exhibiting at the Powder & Bulk Solids Conference & Exhibition in April and looking for a North American representative/dealer to expand its sales activities in the U.S. and Canada.
