The fertilizer maker will build a new 70,000-sq-ft structure in Fort Dodge, IA to replace an existing facility.

The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) recently awarded fertilizer pellets manufacturer Calcium Products with tax benefits through its High Quality Jobs (HQJ) program to support the company’s $17.1 million investment in a new production plant and warehouse in Fort Dodge, IA.

An existing facility in Fort Dodge will be replaced with a 70,000-sq-ft structure to increase its capacity, according to a IEDA release. The project is expected to create two new jobs with a wage of $20.47/hr.

Its existing plant will be converted into a warehouse, coverage by the Fort Dodge Messenger News said.

Calcium Products is headquartered in Ames, IA.
