Three workers were hospitalized with burns after an explosion at a cement plant in San Antonio Tuesday afternoon.
The blast occurred at a coal mill at Capitol Aggregates and caused a fire. Emergency crews were called to the plant but the facility’s carbon dioxide suppressant system had already put out the fire.
The workers suffered burns to their faces and chests, but the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The victims’ conditions and the cause of the explosion were not immediately available.
